Where is your character in their life?
Van is heavily involved in the development of an elite fighting force, the God Generals, created to protect and serve Fon Master Ion. When he's not busy with Daath politics, he obsessively researches ways to bring about his vision of an ideal world. His mind has been so warped by anger, grief and a desperate yearning for vengeance that he eventually morphs into a person even his own sister fails to recognize. He is willing to sacrifice most everything to reach his goal, up to and including his sister.
How are their relationships?
Van judges the people in his life according to their usefulness. He grants others a common courtesy to uphold his reputation in the eyes of the public.
Dist: He often approaches Dist with the sole purpose of gathering information about his specialty. He might also make special requests of him in regards to replication, as he did with Asch and Luke. Their relationship is strictly business. If not for the mans knowledge fomicry he would not even consider associating himself with someone of that nature.
Guy: His young lord is an incredibly talented swordsman and a useful spy when he requires a second pair of eyes and ears hidden in the walls. Though their view on tactics he has chosen to reach his goal may differ from one another, their combined hatred of the Score temporarily binds their wills together, putting them both on the road towards the same ends. Van knows well his unquenchable abhorrence of the Fabre household, including Asch, often using this to his advantage. Only Guy has permission to be overly aggressive toward Asch, serving as a reminder of where his obedience needs to remain. The short leash he holds over Guy does well to show what might befall the "Light of the Sacred Flame," should he choose to oppose him.
Cantabile: The woman did well to train his sister following Legretta's leave. She helped toughen her resolve enough to make her an impressive candidate for the Oracle Knights. Whatever sanity remains in his twisted mind is eternally grateful for her part in raising Tear to becoming a respectable soldier. Her prowess in battle is an asset to his cause, one that he is willing to keep around regardless of the level she despises his existence. Feelings matter little when they were all trapped in a world bound by a ridiculous shard of stone.
Van uses the same method against Cantabile that he does with Asch, manipulating his words and actions to reveal none of his true intent. Whatever dangerous power he holds over her, he subtly reminds her in various fashions, to force her under his command.
Ion: His charge and a very important piece in the plans he has created. Van will use any means necessary to protect the Fon Master.
Luke: Nothing but a weapon to be used by him. Luke is the key that will forever disrupt the course of the Score, when the time comes to rock it from its foundation.
Asch: Van has an odd fondness for the boy, one that he shows in his own way. He has raised him to accept nothing but victory, gradually molding him into the warrior he needs him to be.
Tear: The only person who could POSSIBLY get through to the man lost behind the monster. Van wants nothing more than his sister by his side.
Is there any OTHER important details we should know before we start?
Van is insane with only one thing on his mind. His obsession has lingered so long, there isn't likely to be anything of humanity left in him.
